To volunteer as a Coworker at CVM you need to be at least 18 years of age and be willing to stay for at least 6 months, but preferably one year. As a Volunteer, you would work with people with special needs who are integrated into all of our living and work areas. Volunteers often assist workshop leaders or lead work crews themselves in biodynamic/organic farming and gardening; craft areas such as baking, weaving and card-making; outdoor work such as groundskeeping, firewood preparation and delivery, and recycling; as well as helping in homes with cooking, cleaning and other household chores. Volunteers may also be Houseparents in charge of a home with three to four adults with special needs and one or two other Coworker volunteers.

For U.S. citizens, there is the possibility of joining as AmeriCorps volunteers. For more information on the AmeriCorps program, please contact AmeriCorps directly at http://www.americorps.org.
