Here in rural Minnesota, life isn’t very fancy. People really relate to rag rugs. Many still remember watching their parents or grandparents weaving in the living room. There are quite a number of older people who still weave at home.
We weave quite a variety of rugs, placemats and scarves, on eight different looms. The rags for our rugs must be cut, sewn together on our old Singer sewing machines, and finally woven. This gives good work to many people. We come to work in our wonderful weavery, which offers much light. We seem to always need more space, but that is a weaver’s dilemma…how to stop ‘stashing’ cloth!
Come see us. We love to show you what we are doing.
