The Woodshop here at CVM was built between 1990 and 1991 and houses a fully operating workshop consisting of various power and hand tools to create everything from toys to furniture as well as handling a lot of the village's maintenance needs. Rudolf Steiner believed that woodworking would not only further intellectual development but also the development of the person as a whole. It is through this impulse we have created a therapeutic workplace that provides enjoyable and meaningful work using a variety of different woods (many locally harvested) that enriches our community.
